Quality Control

At Beralb Sh.A., quality assurance and environmental responsibility are integral parts of our production process. For this purpose, the Company has established a modern laboratory dedicated to monitoring plant process streams, analyzing mine discharges, and controlling mining waste.

Our laboratory supports:

  • Regular sampling and analysis of processing plant streams
  • Frequent monitoring of discharges from mining operations
  • Chemical and physical analysis of mining waste

ensuring consistent product quality and stable operational performance.

Waste Management & Environmental Protection

As part of our commitment to environmental protection:

  • The safety and integrity of the tailings dam at the Fushë Arrëz Processing Plant are continuously monitored
  • Waste deposition and discharge parameters are controlled in accordance with national and international standards
  • All discharge values are maintained within permitted environmental limits

In addition, Beralb Sh.A. is evaluating the reprocessing and recycling of historical tailings deposited in the dam, with the objective of recovering valuable copper content while further reducing environmental impact.

Daily Activities in Our Laboratory

Our industrial laboratory operates with a dedicated team of seven qualified professionals supporting Beralb Sh.A.’s operations in Albania.

Main analytical activities include:

  • Copper (Cu) and Zinc (Zn) grade determination
  • Gold (Au), Silver (Ag), Sulfur (S), Iron (Fe) and Lead (Pb) analysis
  • Classical analytical methods such as electrolysis and gravimetry
  • Instrumental analysis techniques

24/7 Real-Time Analytical Support

The laboratory operates on a three-shift system, 24 hours a day, providing real-time analytical services to production teams.

This enables:

  • Immediate monitoring of process performance
  • Rapid response to operational deviations
  • Continuous control of concentrate quality
  • Improved production efficiency and reliability
